Letter to non-voting Christians

Do not complain about the evil resulting from the election or celebrate the good resulting from the same. You made your choice, you ‘voted’ for evil when you made the decision not to vote. I don’t think when Jesus said “Occupy til I come” that he meant occupying a seat on the couch while the world became more and more evil. I think we were given the Armor of God in Ephesians so that we would be protected when we fought against evil. I often wonder what ‘cowardly’ means in Revelation 21:8
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Is not voting, not fighting against evil, considered cowardly?
And to those who claim that no political candidate is Christian enough to warrant your vote.
Samson was not exactly a good Christian but God used him. David killed his general so that he could possess Bathsheba, Gideon was a coward, and the list goes on and on. It was not their entire holiness but holiness in the area needed that mattered. It’s the same with a political candidate.
Remember, we didn’t get to where we are all in one step and we won’t get back in one step either.
"Consider well the important trust...which God...[has] put into your hands...To God and posterity you are accountable for [your rights and your rulers]...Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating those institutions which your fathers delivered to you...look well to the characters and qualifications of those you elect and raise to office and places of trust...Think not that your interests will be safe in the hands of the weak and ignorant; or faithfully managed by the impious, the dissolute and the immoral. Think not that men who acknowledge not the providence of God nor regard His laws will be uncorrupt in office, firm in defense of the righteous cause against the oppressor, or resolutely oppose the torrent of iniquity...Watch over your liberties and privileges - civil and religious - with a careful eye.” - Matthias Burnett, Founding Father and pastor
or, simply, “Duty is ours, results are God’s.” - John Quincy Adams, sixth president
